  Roger P. Hensley Information

Welcome
(to a rather boring page)

I am a Technician, Software Trainer, Database Developer and Maintainer, Report Writer, Web Page Writer, Webmaster, Model Railroader, Newsletter Editor, Author, and Rail Historian.

I have owned and operated my own businesses employing up to seven people, been a Service Manager for a computer store, a Customer Engineer for IBM and selected, installed and configured equipment and software for clients and the Ball State Career Center.

I have an excellent working knowledge of MicroSoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. I have worked and trained individuals and groups on all of the above and more. I have been responsible for LAN operations and setups of workstations and standalone Desktops, for adaptation of new technologies and techniques into improved departmental operations.

As one of the original members of what was to become the National Model Railroad Association's Internet Presence Committee, I was deeply involved in creating the NMRA's web site assuming a leading role in placing the organization's Standards and Recommended Practices on the web. Even before that site went public, I developed the Central Indiana Division, NMRA web site as the first web site of the organization to go on line. These sites are designed for rapid loading with few distracting or browser specific attributes. Since then, I have developed three additional sites including one commercial site.
