I found this picture on Indiana Bull Session. It is a picture of the 5612 in Anderson at the cement plant south of Highway 69. The photo is dated 1982 and the photographer is unknown.

How many of you remember this cement plant just to the South of I 69 in Anderson. It was virtually abandoned for nearly 25 years. Even most of the switch and track had been removed.

Well, it's back!
And here is where they are laying the new track and switch. I understand that it is to be operational by April 1. And judging by the work thay have done, it will probably make it!

CSX ES44AH's 911 and 1776 have been repainted into special schemes honoring first responders and veterans at their locomotive shop in Huntington, West Virginia.

I gpt a phone call...
Hmmm, I seem to say that a lot. But, CSX just moved 5 cars onto the track at the cement plant that I photograhed in March, and I went there to catch some more photos. They aren't done with modifications of the plant as yet, but the cars are here! (And, yes, I did receive permission to photograph.)

 A rail grinder came through South Anderson Yard. Unfortunately, I had to shoot into the sun! That's normal!

 CSX 3026 (GE ES44AH) is heading West near Daleville with quite a load.
NS 3617 (GE ET44AC) is Southbound at 6th Street in Muncie.

 I received a call... oh, well, I get a lot of those.
A train heading East was going to make a drop off in Anderson. That wasn't the reason for the call. He had 5 UP engines right behnd the CSX lead engines. They were RP20SD (EMMD) UPY 896, 897, 898, & 899 and including the switcher MPAC 1442. Oh, and I took a couple shots in the yard before I came out to chase these.

Heads up!
Progress Rail SD70ACe leasers (EMDX 7203, 7205 & 7213) left Muncie Indiana on Norfolk Southern (DIT) from Muncie, Indiana to East St. Louis, Illinois. They are to go for transit to Kansas City for Kansas City Southern (KCS) for their US operations only. All are in the Progress Railway Services yellow livery.

I just talked with Doug Weitzman, who took the picture, and you have his permission.
According to Doug Weitzman who took the photo, the train was moving at the usual speed in LaGrange, and the pedestrian was in fact running to beat the train.
(The photo was taken earlier, but it shows just how careless some people are! He made it, but just barely.)
